Disability Standards for Education

Disability Standards for Education

Disability Standards for Education were formulated under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and tabled in the Parliament on 17 March 2005. They came into effect in August 2005. The Standards clarify the obligations of education and training providers to ensure that students with disabilities are able to access and participate in education and training on the same basis as those without disability.

The following documentation is available in both Rich Text Format (RTF) and Portable Document Format (PDF):

The Standards are currently under review. More information can be found on the DEEWR website.
