Our role
The Department administers GEERS on behalf of the Australian Government. The Department's role is to assess GEERS claims based on the verified information provided by you and in accordance with the GEERS Operational Arrangements.

The role of insolvency practitioners in GEERS is to be the primary contact for employees in respect of all matters relating to an employee's entitlements owed by their employer, and any claim that employees may have for a GEERS advance.
