The Minister for Employment & Workplace Relations, the Hon Julia Gillard MP today introduced the ‘Building and Construction Industry Improvement Amendment (Transition to Fair Work) Bill 2009’ into the Australian Parliament.

The Bill represents the Australian Government’s response to the report provided by the Hon Murray Wilcox QC on the ‘Transition to Fair Work Australia for the Building and Construction Industry’ and meets the Governments election commitments outlined in the ‘Forward with Fairness, Policy Implementation Plan’.
