The Model Tender and Contract documentation for use when preparing expressions of interest, tenders and contracts, and funding agreements for building and construction projects funded directly or indirectly by the Australian Government has been revised.
The following revisions have been made:
- Reduced to one version for use by both agencies and contractors
- Formatting that reflects the Departments corporate identity
- Distinction between instructions in the grey boxes from clauses text
- Easy identification of relevant sections i.e. 'advertisement clause' from 'conditions for participation clause'
- Removal of footnotes to facilitate the ability to copy-and-paste complete sections
- Greater reference to the relevant descriptions contained in the Code and Guidelines, which should be read in conjunction with this document
The Building Industry Branch within the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations is available to offer agencies and contractors advice on their obligations under the Code and Guidelines, and to ensure that agencies adequately reference the Code and Guidelines when approaching the market.
