Trends in Federal Enterprise Bargaining
Trends in Federal Enterprise Bargaining is a quarterly report containing data about the number of enterprise agreements made in the federal workplace relations system, as well as data about the number of employees covered and the level of wage increases included in collective agreements. The data in the report is obtained from the Department’s Workplace Agreements Database (WAD). The WAD contains details about every collective agreement made since the commencement of formal enterprise bargaining in the federal workplace relations in 1991.

Table 14 of the June 2011 Trends has been revised due to a typographical error in the data.
Interpreting the data
To interpret data in these tables correctly it is important to read the technical notes.
Information on wage trends in federal collective agreements from the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations is in the form of data tables. These tables include: current agreements, agreements lodged each quarter, expiring agreements and detailed breakdowns for type of agreement industry, sector and state.
The table includes agreements made under both the Workplace Relations Act 2006 (employee collective, union collective, union greenfields, employer greenfields and s.170LN agreements) and the Fair Work Act 2009 (single enterprise, multi-enterprise, single-enterprise greenfields and multi-enterprise greenfields).
