VET FEE-HELP Quarterly Newsletter for Approved Providers

The VET FEE-HELP Newsletter aims to provide a tool to communicate VET FEE-HELP information to approved VET providers.  This newsletter will be distributed to all approved VET providers on a quarterly basis (May, August, October and March of each year).

 

Approved Provider Training Publications

These publications form the VET FEE-HELP Approved Provider training package that is used in VET FEE-HELP end user training. An updated schedule outlining future VET FEE-HELP training sessions will be published on the website shortly.


Victorian Approved Provider Training Publications

These publications form the VET FEE-HELP Approved Provider training package that is used in VET FEE-HELP end user training for Victorian providers.


Marketing of VET FEE-HELP (only to be used by Approved VET providers)

These publications are designed to assist approved VET providers in the advertising and marketing of VET FEE-HELP following their notice of approval under HESA.

VET Provider Handbook

The Handbook explains the rules and procedures associated with administering VET FEE HELP. It is not an exhaustive summary of all obligations which apply to providers or prospective providers. Therefore, providers and prospective providers must also carefully consider the requirements of HESA, the guidelines and any determinations and should not solely rely on the Handbook.

The Handbook should be read in conjunction with HESA (especially Schedule 1A), guidelines and any determinations for VET FEE-HELP. These are the primary sources of the requirements with which providers must comply. Relevant sections and clauses of HESA, the guidelines and determinations are referenced throughout the Handbook. However, if there is any inconsistency between the content of the Handbook and the provisions of HESA and the guidelines, the provisions of HESA and the guidelines will prevail.

 

VET Administration Guidelines

The VET Administration Guidelines cover the following:

  • Notice to Students
  • Publication requirements for census dates
  • Electronic communication.

These guidelines are legislative instruments made under subclause 99(1) of Schedule 1A of the HESA. They use the language of HESA in order to avoid any misinterpretation or inconsistency with the Act.

 

VET Provider Guidelines

The VET Provider Guidelines cover the following:

  • VET credit transfer arrangements
  • VET tuition assurance requirements
  • Particular requirements for certain VET providers
  • Fair treatment and equal benefits and opportunity
  • Student grievance and review procedures
  • Publication and other requirements for VET tuition fees
  • VET fees.

These guidelines are legislative instruments made under subclause 99(1) of Schedule 1A of the HESA. They use the language of HESA in order to avoid any misinterpretation or inconsistency with the Act.
