The Australian Recognised Trade Certificate (ARTC) is for Australian residents with trade skills in an electrical or metal trade who have gained these skills outside an Australian apprenticeship and seek to have the skills recognised in Australia.
AN ARTC IS NOT CONSIDERED A SUITABLE ASSESSMENT FOR MIGRATION PURPOSES.

Once you have read the Applicant Guidelines you will need to complete an ARTC Application Form and submit this along with your supporting documents as directed.
Applying for an Australian Recognised Trade Certificate (ARTC)
Once you have read the Applicant Guidelines you will need to fill out an ARTC Application form to apply.
You must also check the ARTC Criteria and Guidelines for this program. This document details the minimum training and experience requirements necessary for granting an ARTC.
An ARTC is not the only way electrical and metal trade skills can be recognised in Australia. Skills can also be assessed by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). A RTO will assess your skills against training package requirements. If you meet all the requirements they will issue you with a qualification under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). Where gaps are identified the RTO can issue you with a statement of attainment and may also be able to assist you with further training.
Before submitting an application you should check licensing requirements in your state or territory.
You should also consider your future career, training and development needs to make sure you choose the recognition pathway that best suits your needs.
