Adult Learners’ Week 2011 National Grant Funding

Adult Learners’ Week 2011 National Grant Funding

Overview

Adult Learners’ Week (ALW) is an international event embodied in the 1997 Hamburg Declaration on Adult Learning to which Australia is a signatory. Internationally, ALW celebrates the value and diversity of life long learning.

The Australian Government provides grant funding to support activities that contribute to the national presence of ALW, and enhance community awareness of the role and importance of adult learning. States and territories are responsible for supporting ALW events at the state and local level.

The ALW national presence aligns with current government priorities about adult learning and education such as the 2008 Ministerial Declaration on Adult Community Education, available below.

Application Process

The Adult Learners’ Week 2011 Grant Funding Round was open from Tuesday 15 March 2011 to Friday 8 April 2011 and is now closed.
