Heavy Vehicle Driver Fatigue Course

The learning resource and accompanying DVD will assist in the completion of the online training and assessment to manage Heavy Vehicle Driver Fatigue. Successful completions of the online assessment will yield a Statement of Attainment for TLIF1007: Apply Fatigue Management Strategies. The course begins with the causes of driver fatigue, how fatigue can affect people in the workplace, the new Heavy Vehicle Driver Fatigue Laws and what they mean for drivers. The resource outlines the driver’s responsibilities under the new driving options, and how they are different depending on whether the driver is an employee driver or an owner/operator. Finally the resource addresses what the supply chain will be doing to help manage driver fatigue, identifies some practical ways to deal with fatigue and helps the driver to meet responsibilities under the new laws.
