LMT TCF Training Package Certificate II & III textile fabrication

This resource contains skills recognition kits and fully customisable training materials for 24 units of competence for Certificates II and III in textile fabrication. It includes mappings of each unit of competence against the National Reporting System (NSR) and training materials written at appropriate language levels. A trainer's guide and evidence-gathering templates plus assessment tasks and recording templates for each of the units are also included. This resource supports the Textiles clothing and footwear training package (LMT00).

This resource provides registered training organisations (RTOs) with integrated, competency-based training materials in three units of competency:

Occupational health and safety for textile workers

This resource has been developed to support delivery of the Certificate III in Textile Production and in particular the competency 'follow defined occupational health and safety policies and procedures'. It offers a comprehensive set of resources for trainers to use including information/reference sheets on hazards, occupational overuse syndrome (repetitive strain injury or RSI) and stress. The resource includes some additional language learning activities which focus on a variety of language learning skills such as pronunciation and fluency and includes some well known English as a second language (ESL) games and activities.

Occupational health and safety quality: Textile and Footwear Training Package. Delivery system and support materials for home-based and factory workers for applying quality standards and following defined OHS policies and procedures

This is a comprehensive resource designed to 'maximise opportunities for home-based and factory workers to access textile, clothing and footwear (TCF) vocational education and training'. The resource is mainly aimed at people from non-English speaking backgrounds with language and literacy needs. The CD contains units of competency from the TCF Training Package Certificate III in Clothing Production: Apply Quality Standards and Following Defined OHS Policies and Procedures. Resources for teachers and trainers include curriculum support materials, instructions to deliver the program, a matrix for quality plus information on mapping quality, assessment materials and participants' evaluation sheets. The CD provides downloadable essential texts for trainers for background reading and lists of assessable tasks.
