The get real factor: a model for language, literacy and numeracy training in the Agri-food industry
This resource is designed to assist vocational trainers and assessors working with training packages relevant to the agri-food industry. It assists with the identification of language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills in units of competency and to examine these skills within workplace tasks. It then suggests ways to integrate LLN support strategies into training and assessment and provides tools and examples.

From the Ground Up: Addressing core skills in entry level AgriFood qualifications
This resource is a guide for teachers, trainers and assessors who are interested in delivering entry level qualifications in the Agri-food industry. It is based on the Cert I in Agrifood Pathways and Cert I in Rural Operations qualifications and relates to project based learning in either Vet in Schools or community contexts. Specific units of competency addressed in the resource include AGFPCI101A: Adapt to work requirements in industry; AGFPCI102A: Apply effective work practices; AFFPCI103A: Demonstrate and apply safe work practices at work; and RUV1103A Support animal care cleaning activities.
Complementary resources to assist with training delivery and assessment across the vocational pathway qualifications are also identified and an accompanying CD contains a copy of the Australian Core Skills Framework and a number of sample activities and assessment and training checklists for customization.
For some trainers/teachers, this resource can be a support resource for achieving the TAALLN401B Address language, literacy and numeracy issues within learning and assessment practice competency – especially where they draw upon the resource to support an RPL application.
