The Minister for Education, the Hon Julia Gillard MP has officially announced the list of successful applicants under the Investing in Community Education and Training (ICET) element of the Teaching and Learning Capital Fund (TLCF) for Vocational Education and Training (VET), part of the Government’s $4.7 Billion Nation Building infrastructure package.
$100 million for community education and training providers to develop or enhance infrastructure which will allow them to maximise VET delivery or facilitate expansion into VET delivery. A full list of successful applicants and their projects are now available on the DEEWR website.
The TLCF (VET) will provide $500 million during the 2009-10 financial year which will be distributed through initiatives focused on modernising and improving the quality of teaching and learning across the vocational education and training sector. Funding under the TLCF (VET) will also help support jobs in local communities and stimulate the Australian economy.
National Training Infrastructure Investment for Tomorrow (TIIFT) Funding Announced
Minister for Employment Participation, the Hon Mark Arbib MP has officially announced the list of successful Institutes under the Training Infrastructure Investment for Tomorrow (TIIFT) element of the Teaching and Learning Capital Fund (TLCF) for Vocational Education and Training (VET), part of the Government’s $4.7 Billion Nation Building infrastructure package.
TAFE institutes across Australia were eligible to receive a grant of between $2 million and $10 million for new infrastructure and the enhancement of existing facilities to up-skill and re-skill Australians for a productive future. The infrastructure will support skills for a sustainable future, including green skills for industries affected by climate change mitigation policies. The Minister for Education, the Hon Julia Gillard MP has officially announced the list of successful Institutes under the Better TAFE Facilities (BTF) Element of the Teaching and Learning Capital Fund (TLCF) for Vocational Education and Training (VET), part of the Government’s $4.7 Billion Nation Building infrastructure package.
TAFE institutes across Australia were eligible to receive a grant of between $2 million and $8 million to undertake maintenance needs, small capital works and equipment and plant purchase.
