The Trade Training Centres in Schools Program aims to help address national skills shortages in traditional trades and emerging industries by improving trade training programs in secondary schools.

Successful schools for Round Three were announced on 4 November 2010. Over $219 million in principle funding was authorised for Round Three.

The Hon Peter Garrett AM MP visited two successful schools, Broadford Secondary College and Marist College Pagewood to congratulate them on their successful application.

Both schools were awarded funding to provide new training facilities that will offer a range of different qualifications.

Applications for the Round Four of the Trade Training in Schools program will open in 2011.
