The Australian Government consulted on the draft Terms of Reference for the review by first releasing a Review for Funding for Schooling Discussion Paper in April 2010.
On 9 July 2010, the former Minister for Education, Simon Crean, announced the release of the final Terms of Reference for the review, following stakeholder submissions and feedback on the draft Terms of Reference.
On 16 December 2010, the panel released a Review of Funding for Schooling: Emerging Issues Paper that summarises the views presented by stakeholders during the initial listening tour.
On 31 August 2011, the panel released its Paper on Commissioned Research, to present four commissioned research papers.
The review delivered its final report to the Minister for School Education, the Hon Peter Garrett AM MP in December 2011.
