The Family-Schools Community Partnership Bureau

The Family-Schools Community Partnership Bureau

The Family-Schools Community Partnership Bureau is funded by the Australian Government to work with Principals associations, state and territory educational authorities and school and community organisations to develop and encourage effective partnerships between schools, parents and the community to improve students’ learning experiences and outcomes.

The Bureau recently researched and reported two research documents including:

Effective Partnerships in Practice a qualitative research project on family, school and community partnerships undertaken by Denis Muller & Associates on behalf of the Family-Schools Community Partnership Bureau.

Outline: The research undertaken in this report presented six case studies of parental engagement/partnership projects that had been ongoing for several years. The case studies are intended to provide examples of good sustainable partnerships that could inspire future projects.
