Recurrent expenditure funding is provided for distance education (DE) students studying at non-government schools or systems already providing education to day students. DE funding is dependent on the school being recognised by the State or Territory as a DE provider and the school having day students in the same grades as those being claimed for DE.  Once approved, the school or system will receive expenditure funding at the base rate of 13.7 per cent of the Average Government School Recurrent Costs on a full time equivalent basis.
