    The Trade Training Centres in Schools Program is an important element of the Commonwealth Government’s Education Revolution. It will provide $2.5 billion over 10 years to enable all secondary schools to apply for funding of between $500,000 and $1.5 million for Trade Training Centres.

    Indigenous Schooling

    Indigenous Schooling


    The department is committed to the Australian Government's targets of reducing Indigenous disadvantage, including halving the gap in reading, writing and numeracy achievements for Indigenous children within a decade; and to halve the gap for Indigenous students in year 12 equivalent attainment rates by 2020. Through the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) all governments in Australia are working towards delivering world class schooling for all children.
