National Coordinator’s Implementation Report

The Minister for Education, Julia Gillard, has released the Building the Education Revolution National Coordinator’s Implementation Report, reporting on the progress of the initiatives in its first eight months.

 

Becoming Asia Literate - Round One Grants to Schools announced

The Minister for Education, the Hon Julia Gillard MP, announced on 14 October 2009 that eighty six projects will receive a total of $1.8 million under Round One of the Becoming Asia Literate: Grants to Schools.

 

2009 NAPLAN results released

On 11 September 2009, the Ministerial Council for Education, Early Childhood Development and Youth Affairs (MCEECDYA) released the first set of summary results from the 2009 National Assessment Program in Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN).

Through the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) all governments in Australia are working towards delivering world class schooling for all children.
