The Minister for Education, the Hon Julia Gillard MP, announced on 14 October 2009 the successful projects for Round One of the Becoming Asia Literate: Grants to Schools.  The projects will significantly support the teaching and learning of the four identified Asian languages and cultures in Australian schools.
