Youth at Risk

The Australian Government is highly committed to helping young people reach their full potential and recognises the challenges facing them. For this reason, the Department funds two programs aimed at providing additional support to young people who are at high risk of not successfully completing their schooling or who have already left.

Youth Pathways helps those who are struggling to stay in school, or who have dropped out within the last 12 months, to make it through school to the end of year 12, and beyond that to further education, training or work.

Connections works with young people who have been out of school to help them re-engage with education in a supportive environment and to participate in further education, training or work.
