The Career Industry Council of Australia (CICA) is the peak body contributing to the development of policy and of the Australian career development industry. It was formed in 2003 and is comprised of the presidents of its member organisations (or their nominated representative), and all are volunteers.

CICA is funded by the Australian Government, this funding is to assist CICA to expand their national leadership role; consult and represent stakeholders; further implement the Professional Standards for Career Development Practitioners and undertake awareness raising and educative activities.
