Round Two P21 Results

The Hon Julia Gillard MP, Minister for Education has announced that 3716 Australian schools will receive $6.3 billion in funding for the construction and refurbishment of major infrastructure, including libraries and multi-purpose halls under Round Two of Primary Schools for the 21st Century (P21).

The $12.4 billion for P21 will deliver much needed funding towards building or renewing large scale infrastructure in all primary schools, special schools and K-12s (primary component), for works including libraries, multi-purpose halls and new classrooms, with many of the P21 projects beginning in June 2009.

Applications for the third and final round of the P21 element close on 10 July 2009. Schools yet to apply are encouraged to contact their relevant Education Authority for assistance.
