The AGQTP supports state and territory government and non-government education authorities to provide professional learning opportunities for teachers and school leaders.

State and territory activities by topic
In 2007, around 40,000 teachers participated in 174 professional learning activities across the country. Activities will cover a range of topic areas including:
- general pedagogy
- ICT
- safe schools (NSSF)
- literacy, numeracy and leadership.
