Nominating for the Indigenous Higher Education Advisory Council – Elders Award
Each year the Indigenous Higher Education Advisory Council (IHEAC) invites you to nominate an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person for the Council’s Elders Award.
The Elders Award forms part of the Council’s recognition of individuals who have actively participated in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander higher education over a sustained period. Specifically, the Council considers that the award should be made to an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person regarded as an Elder by their community who has made an outstanding contribution to the higher education of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people over a significant period of time.
Presentation of the Award occurs each year, and is scheduled to coincide with a full meeting of the Council.
