Indigenous Economic Development Strategy—Consultation Submissions

Consultation on the draft strategy closed on 17 December 2010.

All submissions are treated as public documents unless confidentiality was specifically requested by the author. In addition to publication on the website, submissions may be included in reports or materials published by the department.

On occasion, submissions contain personal information, for example, contact details of the author as well as certain confidential information. Where these have been identified, the department will determine whether they may be removed before publishing in accordance with the requirements under the relevant legislation, for example, the Privacy Act 1988 and/or the Freedom of Information Act 1982.

The department will not publish submissions if it believes that the submission material is or could be defamatory. Some submissions or parts of submissions may not be available due to size, format or content. Information which is potentially defamatory, offensive, contravenes anti-discrimination or anti-vilification legislation will not be published.

The views expressed in these submissions do not necessarily represent the views of the Australian Government or of any other individual other than the author.

A request made under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 for access to a submission will be determined in accordance with that Act.
