Youth Allowance

The Australian Government has changed student income support - Youth Allowance, Austudy and ABSTUDY - to create a fairer system for more students and to ensure increased support for those who need it most.

Better Universities Renewal Funding

The one off $500 million Better Universities Renewal Funding (BURF) initiative was announced in the 2008-09 Budget. The funding was allocated to renew universities’ infrastructure.
