Overview of series

This series - Students: Selected Higher Education Statistics -  contains statistics relating to students enrolled in higher education courses between 1 January and 31 December (of each year) in each Australian higher Education Provider.

Data in each publication is reported in numbers and Equivalent Full-time Student Load (EFTSU) and includes information about:

• type and level of course;
• mode of attendance;
• field of study;
• disciplines for units of study;
• attendance type;
• nationality;
• age;
• gender;
• prior education;
• country of birth;
• location of residence;
• Indigenous students;
• other personal characteristics; and
• liabilities through the Higher Education Contribution Scheme (HECS).
