Announcements
The Australian Government announced the successful EIF Round 2 projects in the 2009-10 Budget delivered on 12 May 2009. In total, 31 projects totalling $934 million were approved for funding across the tertiary education and research sectors. The successful projects are listed in tables below.

On 16 February 2009, the Deputy Prime Minister and Senator Carr announced the opening of Education Investment Fund (EIF) Round 2.
EIF Round 2 will be conducted within a short timeframe to maximise the opportunity to provide a much-needed stimulus to the Australian economy. This will be a single-stage application process and priority will be given to projects which are ready to proceed immediately.
Applications must be received by 4:00pm Australian Eastern Daylight Savings Time (AEDT) on Monday, 2 March 2009. This will allow successful projects to be announced in the 2009-10 Budget context.

Guidelines
Institutions submitting applications will need to read the Education Investment Fund Program Guidelines Round 2 before submitting an application.
Applicants will need to familiarise themselves with these Guidelines, including the Eligibility Criteria, and ensure that they are eligible to apply before submitting an application. Applicants will also need to ensure they have read the Evaluation Criteria to ensure that their proposal is suitable for consideration for funding from the EIF.
Applications
Applications must be received by 4:00pm Australian Eastern Daylight Savings Time (AEDT) on Monday, 2 March 2009.
