The TEQSA Taskforce in the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations, with the contribution of Professor Richard James and Dr Kerri-Lee Harris of the University of Melbourne’s Centre for the Study of Higher Education, has prepared a think piece on the development of teaching and learning standards in Australian higher education which has been made available below:

• Discussion Paper: Developing a framework for teaching and learning standards in Australian higher education and the role of TEQSA (PDF 906KB| RTF 2MB).

This discussion paper is being released to encourage and seek the sector’s thoughts and feedback, which will be passed to the Chair of the Higher Education Standards Panel for their consideration once they have been appointed.
