Green Loans Assessors FAQ

Question 1. What support can Green Loans Assessors receive?

Green Loans Assessors who either become unemployed due to the cessation of the Green Loans program of who fail to receive Round 1 funding under the Green Start program will be able to immediately access personalised assistance, career advice, referral to available training places and job search help in Stream 2 services (or higher) from a Job Services Australia provider. They will have access to a personal Employment Pathway Plan that will set out the services and training that will assist them to find and keep a job.

This assistance is also available to Green Loans Assessors who are sole-traders.
 

Question 2. What will a Job Services Australia provider do for me?

Your Job Services Australia provider will assess your circumstances in detail and work with you to help you re-enter the workforce as soon as possible.

Your Job Services Australia provider will work with you to develop a tailored Employment Pathway Plan to help you find another job as quickly as possible. This could include:

  • help with your résumé and job applications, interview skills and presentation techniques
  • advice on searching for a job, various career options and employment programs as well as identifying local training opportunities
  • information about job vacancies and access to job search facilities offered by Centrelink and Job Services Australia providers, including JobSearch, one of Australia’s largest and most popular job internet sites
  • referral and placement into employment
  • a comprehensive skills assessment, skills development and training relevant to the needs of your local labour market and identified job opportunities
  • referral to education or training opportunities including the Productivity Places Program, the Language, Literacy and Numeracy Program, or the Adult Migrant English Program
  • help to gain licences, certificates or other qualifications work experience opportunities.
  • Your Job Services Australia provider will meet with you regularly to review your Employment Pathway Plan. They will also have access to an Employment Pathway Fund, which can be used for employment subsidies, equipment and training.
  • assist Green Loans Assessors to identify local training opportunities through TAFE or other Registered Training Organisations based on a comprehensive individual skills assessment. 

You will receive ongoing personalised employment services provided by your Job Services Australia provider. These services will be sensitive to your circumstances and background. To view all Service Guarantees visit deewr.gov.au/jobservicesaustralia.
 

Question 3. What training courses are available for Green Loans Assessors?

Green Loans Assessors may receive a variety of training opportunities toward future employment, including special support in language and numeracy skills and pre-apprenticeships courses.

Green Loans Assessors should contact Centrelink on 13 28 50 to be assessed for these specialised services. Centrelink or Job Services Australia providers will organise access to training for Green Loans Assessors and support to find another job.
