Local Employment Coordinator Flexible Funding Pool
As part of the extension of the Priority Employment Area initiative, the Australian Government has committed $20 million over two years for a Local Employment Coordinator Flexible Funding Pool (FFP).
Working with stakeholders including DEEWR, local Advisory Committees, employers, employment services and training providers and community sectors, LECs will identify projects or activities which may be funded through the FFP.
Projects or activities funded through the FFP will have direct links to the goals and specific strategies outlined in the Regional Employment Plan for the relevant priority employment area.
The FFP will assist LECs to respond quickly to local needs and maximise employment and training opportunities by supporting activities and projects which add value and build on government and other investment in priority employment areas.
The FFP will not duplicate or compete with existing grant activity or program funding. Rather, it is intended to support those activities or projects which cannot be funded through existing local, State or Australian Government programs.
