Volunteering Gold Coast Promotes Golden Gurus

On 28 June, Leticia Vargas (Volunteering Services Officer) and Gay Robson, (Golden Gurus Ambassador) of Volunteering Gold Coast Volunteering Services, Queensland, hosted their monthly Volunteer Managers Network Meeting.
Volunteering Gold Coast is a Golden Gurus Member Organisation. During the meeting Leticia and Gay introduced their members to the Golden Gurus Program, explaining;
- how they can tap into the program to benefit their organisations
- how they can become Host Organisations
- the process of attracting ’Golden Gurus‘ for a mentoring role for both Not for Profit and Small Business
- the process for registering their requests for Golden Gurus
- and listing positions available.
The response from the members was encouraging with half filling in “Intent to participate” forms and listing six positions to be filled by Golden Gurus—a very encouraging response.
