The Golden Gurus Ambassador Program is all about raising the profile of Mature Age people who contribute their valuable skills and experience to others, and who receive satisfaction for helping others in return.

Golden Gurus Ambassadors work with Golden Gurus Member Organisations to promote the Golden Gurus Program and the Golden Gurus Member Organisation within the local community.

Golden Gurus Ambassadors may be invited by a Member Organisation to:

• Promote the Program to local small businesses or community organisations and provide them with information about the Program
  
• Encourage local small businesses or community organisations to consider seeking the support of a Golden Guru
  
• Seek out local promotional opportunities (media events, conferences, community events, editorial pieces), bringing these to the attention of the Member Organisation. Golden Gurus Ambassadors are well placed to effect real change in media and community attitudes toward Mature Age people.
  
• Support Golden Gurus in their role
  
• Help facilitate training
  
• Promote the contribution that Mature Age people make in local communities and celebrate the achievements of Golden Gurus
  
• Contribute to ideas for promoting the Golden Gurus Program and provide these to their Member Organisation
  
• Attend conferences and events with the Golden Gurus team and talk about their experiences as a Golden Guru and Ambassador and the role that Golden Gurus play in the community.

There are currently 13 Golden Gurus Ambassadors around Australia.
