Experience+ More Help for Mature Age Workers is part of Building Australia’s Future Workforce – Skills to promote increased participation. Over the next three years, 7500 workers aged 50 years and over with trade relevant skills but no formal qualifications will have the opportunity to have their skills assessed and formally recognised.

Investing in Experience tool kit
The Investing in Experience tool kit has been designed as your one-stop guide for employing people aged 45 years and over, and can provide you with advice and resources to help you implement positive age management practices in your organisation. Checklists, case studies and links to further resources are also included throughout the tool kit.
Investing in training for mature age workers, and encouraging more experienced workers to mentor those with less experience, brings direct benefits to business including increased productivity and improved staff morale. Chapter 8 of the tool kit provides information and tips on how to maximise training and development outcomes for mature age workers.
Experience+ Training
Experience+ Training helps you with the costs of providing quality training (at the Certificate III level or above) to your mature age employees, so that they can provide mentoring or supervisory support to apprentices or trainees in your workplace.

Your employees may be eligible to undertake training in areas of skills shortage. You or your employees can contact your respective state or territory government to find out more about what training places are available through the Productivity Places Program. Workplace English Language and Literacy (WELL)
You may be able to access funding to provide English language, literacy or numeracy training in the workplace. Funding is available on a competitive grants basis to organisations for English language and literacy training linked to job-related workplace training.
