Investing in Experience tool kit

The Investing in Experience tool kit has been designed as your one-stop guide for employing people aged 45 years and over, and can provide you with advice and resources to help you recruit and retain mature age people, including information about financial help that may be available. Checklists, case studies and links to further resources are also included throughout the tool kit.

Experience+ Training

Experience+ Training helps you with the costs of providing quality training (at the Certificate III level or above) to your mature age employees, so that they can gain the skills they need to provide mentoring or supervisory support to apprentices or trainees in your workplace.

The More Help for Mature Age Workers initiative helps you with the cost of providing skills assessment to your mature age employees, so that they can have their trade relevant skills formally recognised and gain appropriate training to address any skills gaps.

Employment Assistance Fund

The Employment Assistance Fund provides financial assistance to purchase a range of work-related modifications and services to support eligible employees with a health condition, injury or disability.

Indigenous Wage Subsidy

Indigenous Wage Subsidy is an incentive paid to employers who employ eligible Indigenous Australians, who are registered with Centrelink or a Job Services Australia provider, on an ongoing basis.

Career Development Assistance of up to $550 is also available to employers with Indigenous Wage Subsidy participants who enroll in an accredited training course, obtain a ticket (such as Stop/Go), or Licence (such as forklift) within their first 26 weeks of employment.

Wage Subsidy Scheme

The Wage Subsidy Scheme enables Disability Employment Services to offer financial assistance through wage subsidies to employers who employ Disability Employment Services participants.

Disability Support Pension Employment Incentive Pilot

The Disability Support Pension Employment Incentive Pilot aims to find
1000 sustainable jobs for people who receive the Disability Support Pension.

The Pilot offers wage subsidies of up to $3000 to employers once a Disability Support Pension recipient has been employed in a new job for at least eight hours per week for 26 weeks.
