The Department has invited Employer Broker panel members to express their interest in submitting proposals for funding for additional activities under Round One of the program.
Panel members were advised that activities will be based on the Employer Broker Guidelines and that proposals for funding addressing the occupations listed in the National Skills Needs List (NSNL), and proposals that target the employment of older workers (with reference to the Australian Governments $43.2 million Productive Ageing Package), were also welcomed.
Further Information on the NSNL can be found at the Australian Apprenticeship website, or by calling the Australian Apprenticeships referral line on 13 38 73.
The Productive Ageing Package is designed to provide vital training and support for older Australians who want to stay in the workforce. More information on the new package can be found at Jobwise.
The proposal for funding process for additional activities closes 7.00pm (AEST) 11 May 2010, with Funding Agreements expected to be in place by mid June 2010. More information can be found at Frequently Asked Questions.
All enquiries should be directed to the Employer Broker inbox at employer.broker@deewr.gov.au.
