Funding is subject to execution of funding agreements
This follows the announcement on Tuesday 3 March 2009 by the Minister for Employment Participation, the Hon Brendan O'Connor MP of the organisations that were successful in being appointed to the Innovation Fund Panel.
The Innovation Fund is a component of the new employment services (Job Services Australia) commencing on 1 July 2009 and ending on 30 June 2012.
The Innovation Fund is designed to address the needs of the most disadvantaged job seekers through funding projects that will foster innovative solutions to overcome barriers to employment which these job seekers face.
The Australian Government has provided $41 million over three years for Innovation Fund projects.
In order to receive funding from the Innovation Fund, organisations must be a member of the Innovation Fund panel.
Selection of panel members was conducted through the Request for Tender for Employment Services 2009-12 process.
Innovation fund projects will commence on 1 July 2009. The Guidelines for applying for funding from the Innovation Fund were released on 5 December 2008.
Further information on the Innovation Fund is available from the Innovation Fund Fact Sheet and FAQs.
