Your involvement in work experience activities can give you the opportunity to build on your existing job skills, learn new skills and improve your chances of finding a job. In particular, undertaking work experience can provide practical ways for you to connect with your community and to demonstrate your abilities to potential employers.
You may be eligible to participate in employment or training programs administered by the Australian Government, or state or territory government programs or services which address non-work related barriers.

All job seekers can undertake programs/services which address non-vocational barriers if their Job Services Australia provider considers it is in the job seeker’s best interest. If you and your Job Services Australia provider agree it will benefit you, it may form part of your Employment Pathway Plan.
If you are a stream 4 job seeker, you can fully satisfy your work experience activity requirement by accessing programs/services to address non-vocational barriers while you are in the work experience phase. You can also participate in other kinds of work experience activities if you are able to do so.
