The Request for Tender for the provision of Insurance Brokerage Service 2011-2012 was released on 26 November 2010.
The Department is undertaking a competitive tender process for the provision of Insurance Brokerage Services for the purpose of appointing an Insurance Broker to deliver Insurance Brokerage Services for the period from 1 March 2011 to 30 June 2012.
Job Services Australia (JSA) is the Australian Government’s national employment service, administered by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR). DEEWR administers a number of other Employment Assistance Programs including Disability Employment Services (DES), Indigenous Employment Program (IEP), National Green Jobs Corps (NGJC) and Innovation Fund. A range of organisations have been contracted by DEEWR to deliver employment services under JSA and other Employment Assistance Programs, to assist Participants develop skills and find and maintain sustainable employment.
DEEWR purchases certain forms of insurance coverage for Participants undertaking some work experience activities under JSA as well as for Participants undertaking work experience in DES, IEP, NGJC and Innovation Fund. DEEWR also purchases insurance for Host Organisations involved in Drought Force Activities which forms part of JSA.
DEEWR is seeking a recognised and reputable insurance broker to deliver the services as defined in the Statement of Requirements in Chapter 2 of the RFT, including purchasing, administering and managing insurance that DEEWR purchases to cover Participants and Host Organisations participating in Employment Assistance Programs.

On 26 November 2010, the department announced a Request for Tender (RFT) process for the provision of Insurance Brokerage Services for the purpose of appointing an Insurance Broker to deliver Insurance Brokerage Services for the period from 1 March 2011 to 30 June 2012. Submission of tenders closed at 2pm AEST on Tuesday, 21 December 2010.
The results of the Request for Tender for the provision of Insurance Brokerage Services 2011-2012 have been announced, the successful Tenderer, receiving the contract for the period 1 March 2011 to 30 June 2012, is Marsh Pty Ltd.
