The Department is seeking to maximise stakeholder input for the development of the new Disability Employment Services (DES) implementation into the Employment Services System (ESS) to ensure that it addresses provider business needs in terms of operational support and ease of use. Provider consultation for implementing Disability Employment Services (DES) IT system changes into the Employment Services System (ESS) will be delivered via a combination of publicly accessible web conferencing sessions (using the Department's existing LiveMeet technology), and a number of face-to-face sessions. In addition, an Employment Services IT Advisory Group will meet over the course of the consultation timeframe to review and advise on progress of the development of the Employment Services IT System.
The Consultation Plan details the communication strategy, including the consultation phases and timeframes and has been endorsed by the IT Advisory Group.
