Outcomes of the Long Day Care Capital Funding Program, Round 2

On 25 March 2009, the Hon Maxine McKew MP, Parliamentary Secretary for Early Childhood Education and Child Care announced the outcomes of the Long Day Care Capital Funding Program, Round 2.  More than $900 000 was allocated to 15 child care services in rural and remote areas of Australia.

The capital funding will support children and families in rural and remote areas to access quality, affordable early childhood education and care. The services will use the money to enhance their facilities by either extending their buildings to cater for additional children or upgrading their indoor or outdoor areas.
