Child Care Quality Information on Mychild – Frequently Asked Questions

The Child Care Quality Assurance (CCQA) system administered by the National Childcare Accreditation Council (NCAC) ceases on 31 December 2011. At that time, the NCAC will have been fully wound up. The NCAC website has been redirected to the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA).

Services, parents and carers will continue to be able to view CCQA accreditation history. This information will available on the Mychild website from 1 January 2012. It can be found on the new quality tab for each service record.

My service’s CCQA accreditation history is not showing on the Mychild website. Why is this and how can I get my service’s CCQA accreditation history displayed?

The Department has transferred the majority of the CCQA accreditation history and uploaded it onto the Mychild website. This is a priority for the department and it is anticipated that the transfer process for remaining services will be finalised early in 2012.

In the meantime, if you are concerned that your service’s accreditation history is not showing on Mychild, please contact the Department by emailing mychild@deewr.gov.au or calling the Mychild Hotline on 13 36 84.

What does the rating ‘Provisional – Not Yet Assessed Under the National Quality Framework’ mean?

A rating of Provisional – Not Yet Assessed Under the National Quality Framework is in place until a service’s first assessment under the National Quality Framework is completed and a rating given.

The National Quality Framework commenced on 1 January 2012. Services covered by the National Quality Framework are assessed and rated against the National Quality Standard and Education and Care Services National Regulations. Further information about the National Quality Framework is available on the ACECQA website.
