When should I submit my vacancies?
Vacancy data needs to be submitted by 8pm your local time on the Friday before the week to which the vacancies relate.
If a vacancy report for the following week is late but submitted by midnight on Sunday the vacancy report will be accepted but regarded as a late submission.
If a vacancy report for the following week is very late and submitted after the week has ended, the report will no longer be accepted by CCMS.
What are the changes to vacancy reporting I have heard about?
These changes introduce more details about vacancies to improve matching of families with child care services.
They will become mandatory in stages but if you wish, you will be able to report as soon as they become available in your software.
Stage 1 (mandatory from 1 September 2010) is a change to the age ranges. The age groups are:
- 0 to 24 months
- 25 to 35 months
- 36 months to school age (but not at school)
- school child
From Stage 2 (mandatory from 10 December 2010) you must also indicate the type of care, i.e. whether the vacancy is:
From Stage 3, (expected to be mandatory by April 2011) you must also indicate the care period, i.e. whether the vacancy is a:
- Full day,
- Half day, or
- Other session length
