Information for Registered Training Organisations and RPL assessors

Information for Registered Training Organisations and RPL assessors

Early in 2012 a selection process was finalised to identify existing RPL assessors with a proven capacity to deliver high quality RPL assessments. The successful assessors will undertake two days of training in the use of the new national RPL assessment tools (RPL Toolkit). Once the training is successfully completed, these assessors will be registered with the department and be eligible to commence RPL assessments for RPL grant initiative.

Training of successful assessors commenced in March 2012 and a list of currently registered assessors is available on the Recognition of Prior Learning – Registered Assessors page.

The RPL initiative focuses on the following qualifications:

The National RPL Assessment Tools (the RPL Toolkit)

The RPL initiative includes development of new national assessment tools for Certificate III, Diploma and Advanced Diplomas in Children’s Services. These assessment tools have now been developed and are referred to as the RPL Tool Kit.
