Early Childhood Education and Care Workforce Best Practice and Innovation Project
The Early Childhood Education and Care Workforce Best Practice and Innovation Project is aimed at identifying best practice and/or innovative workforce initiatives to attract upskill and retain early childhood professionals in the early childhood and care sector.
In 2010, the Government provided $500 000 in one-off seed funding for 14 projects Australia wide. There are two categories of project: short-term best practice projects up to $20 000 and best practice demonstration models up to $50 000.
The 2010 projects have a strong focus on the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework, which guides early childhood educators in developing quality, early childhood education programs.
