National Symposium – Engaging Parents and Families in Learning and School
The Symposium will bring together educators, parents and researchers from Australia and the world to explore and progress parent/family engagement theory and practice. It will highlight significant research findings and directions, together with evolving and innovative practice, and allow centrally important and diverse stakeholders to interact with and learn from each other. The symposium discussions will contribute to the evidence base to support future government policy development and identify new areas for action and collaboration.

Keynote speaker: Ms Hélène Grégoire from the Ontario Ministry of Education in Canada and she will be speaking on: "Engaging Parents, Families and Communities in Children's Learning: A Perspective from Ontario.”

- Jihad Dib, Principal of the Puchbowl Boys’ High School in South Western Sydney
- Lance Emerson, CEO of the Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth
- Caz Bosch, President of the Australian Parents Council and many more.
