Graduate Program

The Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) has a broad portfolio that is focused on building a socially inclusive Australia and touching the lives of all Australians, from early childhood, schooling, universities, training and skills to employment participation, workplace relations, youth and Indigenous program. DEEWR’s vision is to create a productive and inclusive Australia.

DEEWR prides itself on being an agile organisation, promoting the Australian Public Service’s philosophy, one APS career thousands of opportunities. We have approximately 6000 staff in over 50 locations in Australia and 26 locations overseas; with approximately 75 per cent of employees located in the National Office in Canberra. Our employees are involved with developing policy, delivering programs and services, providing information and guidance, and advising the government.

As a graduate, you will be provided with training and development opportunities, an attractive remuneration package, and a secure, diverse and supportive workplace. The 10 month program is aimed at developing and broadening your skill base to assist with career progression.

DEEWR is seeking graduates to fill various positions within the Department. There are opportunities to work in the Canberra National office as well as opportunities in our State and Regional offices.
